1. Golconda Fort - Golkonda, also known as Golconda, Gol konda, or Golla konda, is a citadel and fort in Southern India and was the capital of the medieval sultanate of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, is situated 11 km west of Hyderabad. It is also a tehsil of Hyderabad district, Telangana, India.
Golconda Fort, located at a distance of 11km from the city is an outstanding example of brilliant engineering and magical architecture, it is the most famous of all Hyderabad sightseeing places and one of the most popular and supreme monuments, which allures every visitor with its unparalleled beauty and grandeur. A Hyderabad Tour is incomplete without a visit to this fort.
Golconda fort timings are from 9 am to 5.30 pm. After that, visitors are not allowed to enter the fort, unless they are going for the light and show in night. With perimeters of around 11 kilometers, the fort has 15 to 18 foot high walls. It has huge gates that have pointed iron spikes on them. This protected the fort from Elephants damaging the fort as well as enemy attacks.

2. Charminar - An amazing blend of Indo-Islamic architecture, that represents the magnificent history of the city which is incomplete without a visit to Charminar. Giant arches width of 11 meters and height of 20 meters opens each side of a plaza, overlooking four major thorough fares. There are 45 prayer spaces in Charminar which is still visited by people, especially on Fridays. On the top floor of Charminar, there is a small mosque.
This majestic monument can be visited anytime during the year can explore the unique beauty during the months of October to March. It looks mesmerizing with lighting in evenings which is a sight one mustn’t miss. There are many more sightseeing while visiting Charminar sach as Chow Mohalla Palace, Shahali Banda, Kali Kaman, Patthar Gatti and Mecca Masjid which are situated nearby.

3. Salar Jung Museum - The Salar Jung Museum is one of the three National Museums of India located on the southern bank of the river Musi, Salar Jung Museum is popularly known for its one of largest one-man collections of the world. This museum is a must visit sightseeing in Hyderabad. It is located quite close to the other tourist spots such as Charminar, Mecca Masjid, High Court, State Central Library, etc. The biggest attraction of the museum is the musical clock that consists of more than 350 parts and dates back to the 19th century.
Salar Jung Museum timings are from 10 am to 5 pm on all days except Fridays. The entry fee for Salarjung Museum is Rs 10 per person, while for children it is Rs. 5 per person. For foreign tourists, the ticket price is Rs. 150 per person.
4. Hussain Sagar - Hussain Sagar is a necklace shaped lake, situated just 2km away from the heart of the city. The largest artificial lake in Asia, connects two parts of the city which is Secunderabad and Hyderabad becomes the most popular tourist places in Hyderabad wchich now beautifies the city gracefully. At the middle of the lake, you will find a huge statue of standing Lord Buddha which has height of 16 m and weighs almost 350 tonnes. Made up of white granite, the statue is on the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’. The Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolith located in India. It is the world's tallest monolith of Gautama Buddha.
Hussain Sagar Lake has plenty of water sports activities including boating, yachting and sailing. In addition to it, the state tourism also provides new and better facilities like speed boats, motor boats 48 seated launches and so on. You can visit the lake throughout the week; it opens on all days. Hussain Sagar lake timings are from 8 am to 10 pm.
5. Chowmahalla Palace - Chowmahalla Palace, a place worth visiting when on a Hyderabad tour, erected around 200 years ago, Chowmahalla Palace boasts of exquisite architecture and magnificence. The heart of the palace is called as Khilwat Mubarak. This grand Durbar hall is undeniably the best part of the palace. Mughal domes, imposing arches and an intricate Persian work creates a masterpiece.

6. Birla Mandir - Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala Tirupati Temple which is almost 2000 tonnes of white marbles, was brought from Rajasthan for building this temple. The temple was located on the top of a hill of 280 feet, also known as Naubat Pahad, Birla Temple stands magnificently, drawing admiring glances from every passerby. The view of the city from the temple is worth all the efforts. Birla mandir one of the Top 10 tourist places to visit in Hyderabad.
You can visit the temple at anytime. In mornings, fresh breeze, tranquil environment and chirping of birds greet you as you seek blessing of the Gods. While in night it is illuminated, creating a site that is worth appreciating. One can visit the Birla mandir from 6 am to 12 noon and in evening from 2 pm to 9 pm.
7. Mecca Masjid - Mecca Masjid, is one of the popular tourist spots of Hyderabad attracting not just devotees but almost everyone. Located in the Old City, at a distance of 100 metres from the Charminar which is another popular place for sightseeing in Hyderabad, Mecca Masjid was built during the rime of qutub shahs is one of the largest mosques not just in India but also in the world capacity of 20,000 devotees.
There is also an enclosed pavilion where the tombs of nawabs are located. There are some security restriction and slight dress code to enter. But everything is worth as the mosque is like a beautiful monument. This mosque is believed to have stones brought from Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Mecca Masjid is a must visit in Hyderabad.
8. Qutb Shahi Tombs - The Qutb Shahi Tombs are located in the Ibrahim Bagh, close to the famous Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, India these tombs are a famous landmark in the city. They contain the tombs and mosques built by the various kings of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Domed structures, terraced gardens, intricate parapets and exquisite ornamentation can all be found at one place. These monuments are not only known for its splendid artistry and sprawling gardens, but is also known for the countless tombs of the last standing royals of Golconda.
Qutub shahi tombs timings are from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. It is open from Monday to Sunday. The entry fee for the tombs is only Rs. 10 per person and for children it is Rs. 5 per person.
9. Ramoji Film City - The Ramoji Film City in India is located in Hyderabad. Spread over 2000 acres, it is the largest integrated film city in Telangana and has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest studio complex in the world. It was built by Telugu film producer Ramoji Rao in 1996. With a capacity to accommodate close to 50 film units at the same time, Ramoji Film City offers umpteen numbers of film sets such as London Street, Hollywood sign, Japanese gardens, airport, hospital, etc. , landscapes and buildings as well as laboratories. The self sufficient film city with its facilities and setting is enough to make a complete movie.

10. Nehru Zoological Park - Nehru Zoological Park is one of the largest zoos of India and one of the top sightseeing places to visit in Hyderabad, located at a distance of 16 km from Hyderabad near Mir Alam Tank. It is one of the most visited destinations in Hyderabad. The Nehru Zoo Park boasts of almost 1,500 species of birds, mammals and reptiles. Adding to the extensive varieties of wildlife, this zoo park is considered to be the first one where animals have been kept in zoological order.

11. Snow World - Snow World is an amusement park located beside Indira Park and along the Hussain Sagar lake, within an area of about 2 acres. This place is definetly a summer heaven, worth visiting in summers to get a refreshment. There's also scary house and gokarting available. Snow World is quite popular among the locals and the tourists alike. It is the world's Third biggest and the first snow-themed park in India.

12. Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park - Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park is a deer national park located in at a distance of 15 km from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is spread over 13,758 acres. It is the largest green lung space in the city of Hyderabad and is famous for being a home to the endangered species of Black Buck Deer. Some of the animals that you can see here are Cheetahs, monitor lizards, wild boars, porcupines and varied kinds of snakes.
13. B.M. Birla Science Museum - Hyderabad has been filled with many interesting tourist spots which have been mesmerizing people of all age groups for many years now. The B M Birla Science Centre is one of the most prestigious institutions in the country for the dissemination of science and has several innovative programmes in the popularization of science and formal and non formal education and research. It is recognized both as an Institute of Higher Education and for R&D. Birla Science Museum is one of the popular tourist attractions in the city it comprises a planetarium, museum, science center, art gallery as well as a dinosaurium which has been captivating not just younger ones but also adults.

14. Chilkoor Balaji Temple - Chilkur Balaji Temple, popularly known as "Visa Balaji Temple'', is an ancient Hindu temple of Lord Balaji on the banks of Osman Sagar. Located almost 30 kilometres from Hyderabad, Chilkur is a small picturesque village which is also a popular pilgrimage. It is one of the oldest temples in Hyderabad built during the time of Madanna and Akkanna, the uncles of Bhakta Ramadas.
15. Wonderla Amusement Park - The loudest, craziest, and the most amazing part of town. This simply is not just an amusement park, but a world of breath-taking charm. 16. Sanghi Temple - Sanghi Temple, located at Sanghi Nagar in Telangana, is about 35 km away from Hyderabad city. The sacred Raja Gopuram, which is very tall, can be seen from several kilometers away. Sanghi temple stands beautifully on the hillock ‘Paramanand Giri’, which attracts a number of devotees. The temple is a place worth visiting, the vast complex of this temple also offers amiable space for visitors to sit at leisure and bask in its beauty.
The Sanghi temple timings are from 8.30 am to 10.30 am and 4 pm to 6 pm. If you are keen on attending the pooja, plan your Sanghi temple visit around 6pm and 8pm.
17. Shri Jagannath Temple - The Jagannath Temple in Hyderabad, India is a modern temple built by the Odia community dedicated to the Hindu God Jagannath. The temple located at the heart of the city, in Banjara Hills, Jagannath Temple is the Hyderabad’s replica of the original Puri Jagannath Temple, which is located in Orissa. However, the size of both the temple differs, but has been built in same style of Puri temple.
Dedicated to the Lord Krishna who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the main temple houses statues of Lord Jagannath with his brothers - Balabhadra (Balarama) and Subhadra.
