    After enjoying the breakfast proceed to Allepey. Enroute visit Chotanikkara Bagawathy Temple. On arrival check into houseboat and spend the day at leisure. houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. While cruising you will witness a full range of life’s and activities and some mind boggling sceneries. All meals including tea and snacks will be served on board. COCHIN

Cochin (Kochi), located on the southwest coast of India, is a vibrant city that beautifully blends history, culture, and modernity. Known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea," it has a rich maritime history, colonial architecture, and a thriving arts scene.

The Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple, located about 17 km from Cochin (Kochi) in Chottanikkara, is one of the most famous and revered temples in Kerala. Dedicated to the goddess Bhagavathy (a form of Durga), this temple is known for its spiritual significance and tranquil surroundings. It attracts thousands of devotees each year, particularly those seeking relief from mental or physical ailments.

ALLEPPEY

Alleppey (Alappuzha), known as the "Venice of the East," is famous for its backwaters, houseboats, and scenic beauty. A houseboat cruise through the backwaters is the highlight of a visit to Alleppey. Beyond the houseboat ride, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area.

The primary attraction in Alleppey is the iconic houseboat cruise through the backwaters. Houseboats, or Kettuvallams, are traditional wooden boats converted into luxurious floating homes. You can take a day or overnight cruise along the backwaters, exploring the tranquil surroundings, paddy fields, small islands, and quaint villages.

THEKKADY

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is the main attraction in Thekkady, known for its rich biodiversity. It covers around 925 square kilometers of forest and wildlife. The sanctuary is home to a variety of species, including elephants, tigers, leopards, sambar deer, and wild boars.

Thekkady is famous for its spice plantations, especially cardamom, pepper, vanilla, nutmeg, and clove. Take a guided tour through the spice plantations to learn about the cultivation process, the various spices grown here, and their medicinal uses. The tours usually include a walk through the lush plantations, where you can also sample fresh spices.

A boat ride on Periyar Lake is one of the best ways to experience the serene beauty of Thekkady. The lake, surrounded by dense forests, offers a chance to enjoy the lush green landscape and spot wildlife, particularly during early morning or late afternoon boat rides.

Take an elephant ride through the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a unique and thrilling experience that gives you a closer look at the forest and its wildlife from the back of an elephant.

Thekkady offers opportunities to experience traditional Kerala arts like Kalaripayattu (a form of martial arts) and Kathakali (a classical dance-drama form). You can attend live performances at various cultural centers and resorts in the area.

MUNNAR

Eravikulam National Park this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-visit for nature lovers. It is home to the Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered species of mountain goat. You can take a guided trek to the Anamudi Peak, the highest point in South India, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

The Mattupetty Dam is an iconic spot near Munnar. You can enjoy a boat ride on the Mattupetty Reservoir, take in the views of the surrounding hills, or visit the nearby Mattupetty Dairy Farm. The area is also great for picnics and relaxed walks.

About 15 km from Munnar, Echo Point is a scenic spot known for its natural echo phenomenon. It’s a fun place to shout and hear your voice bounce back from the surrounding hills. The lush green surroundings add to its charm.

Located near the Munnar town, the Tata Tea Museum provides insights into the history of tea production in Munnar. You can learn about the evolution of tea processing and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea while watching the history unfold through exhibits.

PALANI

The palani Sri Dhandayuthapani Temple is one of the most significant temples dedicated to Lord Murugan in Tamil Nadu. The main deity, Lord Dhandayuthapani, is worshipped in the form of a shivalingam, which is enshrined inside the temple. The temple is believed to have been established by Bhogar, a Siddhar, who is said to have consecrated the idol.

MADURAI

Meenakshi Amman Temple is the centerpiece of Madurai and one of the most revered Hindu temples in India. Dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi (Parvati) and Lord Sundareswarar (Shiva), it is known for its stunning Dravidian architecture and towering gopurams (gateway towers). Take a dip in the Golden Lotus Tank (Porthamarai Kulam), located inside the temple. It is believed to purify your soul and body.

Located about 21 kilometers from Madurai, Alagar Kovil is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Alagar (Azhagar) form. The temple is situated on the Alagar Hill, offering a peaceful and scenic environment.

TIRUCHY

The Ranganathaswamy Temple is an excellent example of Dravidian architecture with its towering gopurams (gateway towers), intricate carvings, and vast courtyards. The temple is spread across several prakarams or courtyards, each with a different set of deities and a spiritual ambiance. Spend time walking around the temple’s different sections and explore the pillared halls, small shrines, and the holy tank (Pushkarini).

The Ucchi Pillayar Temple is located on top of the Rockfort Hill, one of Trichy’s most famous landmarks. To reach the Ucchi Pillayar Temple, you must climb 437 steps to the top of Rockfort Hill. The climb can be a bit challenging, but it offers a unique experience. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha (Ucchi Pillayar) and is known for its stunning location atop a massive rock outcrop, offering panoramic views of the city below.

THANJAVUR

The Raja Raja Cholan Temple (more formally known as the Brihadeeswarar Temple or Big Temple) in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most iconic and historically significant temples in India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built by the Chola king Raja Raja Chola I in the 11th century. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is celebrated for its grandeur, architectural brilliance, and religious importance.

VELANKANNI

Velankanni, known as the "Lourdes of the East," is a revered pilgrimage destination in Tamil Nadu. The Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health is the main attraction, drawing millions of devotees annually. Spend time in quiet prayer at this peaceful chapel, which is open to all visitors.

Velankanni Beach: Just a short walk from the basilica, the beach offers a tranquil escape where you can enjoy the sea breeze and local street food. Buy souvenirs, candles, and religious items from the shops near the beach.

PONDICHERRY

A spiritual retreat and major attraction in Pondicherry, where you can meditate and explore the teachings of Sri Aurobindo.

Matrimandir: Visit the iconic golden meditation dome surrounded by lush gardens.

Handicraft Shops: Explore Auroville’s handmade products like pottery, textiles, and organic goods.

Promenade Beach, popularly known as Gandhi Beach, is a scenic stretch in Pondicherry, ideal for relaxation and leisure activities. Enjoy a peaceful walk on the 1.5-kilometer-long promenade, especially during sunrise or sunset.

THIRUVANNAMALAI

VELLORE

TIRUPATI

The Sri Venkateswara Temple is the most famous temple in Tirupati and one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world. It is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu. The temple's golden dome (known as the Vimana), the rich architecture, and the sacred surroundings make it a significant cultural and spiritual experience.

CHENNAI

Marina Beach is one of the longest urban beaches in the world, stretching about 13 kilometers along the Bay of Bengal. It is one of Chennai’s most popular landmarks, offering both relaxation and recreation for visitors.

The Anna Memorial, MGR Memorial, Karunanidhi Memorial, and J. Jayalalithaa Memorial are significant landmarks located on the Marina Beach Road in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
