Overview

Church is a place of adoration  for Christian people. Velankanni is one of the most important shrines in Christianity. Velankanni Madha is adored all over the world for its ‘Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health’ dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Sacred Arogya Matha is supposed to hold miraculous remedial powers and once you pay homage at the feet of Our Lady of Good Health, all your sicknesses and diseases are sure to get healed.  In this shrine the sorrowing Mother Mary is portrayed carrying the Infant Jesus in her sacred arms.

    Arrival - Chennai

    On arrival chennai, meet & greet by our representative then transfer to hotel. Later visit the famoust churches including the St. Mary's Church (the oldest British building in India), St Thomas Mount church, Santhome Church & Marina beach. Evening free and easy for shopping. Overnight stay in Chennai.

    Chennai - Mahabalipuram

    Morning after breakfast drive you to Mahabalipuram, one of the world heritage site for stone temple. Upon arrival visit the world heritage site of Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram famous for rock bas reliefs and sculptures. The Sea Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, Tiger cave & etc. Enjoy the evening in beach. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.

    Chennai - Pondicherry

    After the breakfast proceed to Pondicherry, A former French colony, now a great tourist attraction. Upon arrival visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, established by the French missionaries in the 18th century. In recent years, the church has become one of the famous pilgrimage spot for Christians in Pondicherry. Then to The Church of Our Lady of Angels is prominent for its masonry, which used the finest of limestone mixed with white of the egg and gave it a rich texture identical to that of a white marble. The next attraction to be experienced during the territory’s tour is the visit to Auroville, the township established by the mother for harmonious living. Then check into the hotel. Enjoy the Evening in Gandhi beach. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.

    Pondicherry - Velankanni

    After breakfast proceed to Velankanni. on arrival visit visit Shrine Basilica of our Lady of Health, the principal shrine at Velankanni. This is the place of our Lady’s apparitions and is famed for the three miracles performed by the lady of good health, also visit museum & beach. Then check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Velankanni.

    Velankanni - Trichy

    After breakfast proceed to Trichy. Enroute visit Poondi Matha Church(Our Lady of Lourdes Basilica). Upon arrival trichy, visit St.jospeh’s church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Trichy. Then check into the hotel. Then free and easy for shopping. Overnight stay at Trichy.

    After breakfast free and easy for shopping, until transfer to Trichy airport for your onward journey and end of church tour with unforgettable memories.

Things to do

CHENNAI

1. Government Museum - The Government Museum also known as Egmore Museum or the Madras Museum is the second oldest museums in India after Indian museum in Kolkatta which is located in Egmore, Chennai.

2. Arignar Anna Zoological Park - It is the first public zoo in India, also known as the Vandalur Zoo, is a zoological garden located in Vandalur, is in the south western part of Chennai, about 31 kilometres from the Chennai Central and 15 kilometres from Chennai Airport.

3. St. Thomas Mount - St. Thomas Mount is a small hillock in Chennai, near Guindy and very close to Chennai International Airport. The ancient Syrian Christian community of India trace the origin of their church to St. Thomas the Apostle.

4. Vivekananda House - Vivekanandar Illam, earlier known as Ice House or Castle Kernan is a historical building in Chennai. It was constructed in 1842 by Frederic Tudor. Indian Saint Swami Vivekananda stayed in the building when he visited Chennai in 1897 and was later renamed in his honor.

5. Annai Vailankanni Shrine - Gothic-style Catholic pilgrimage destination with a small museum & store for religious items.

TRICHY

1. Kallanai - Kallanai is an ancient dam built across the river Kaveri in South India. This is situated in Tamil Nadu in the district of Trichy. This dam was constructed in AD 2nd century by the Chola king Karikalan.

2. Butterfly Park - It's a large park featuring a glass butterfly house, landscaped gardens, a fountain & an eatery. This park has garden, fountain, large butterfly glass house, fountain and hut to take rest and have food. 

3. Our Lady of Lourdes Church - The Our Lady of Lourdes Church is located in the city of Tiruchirapalli in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Church is devoted to Our Lady of Lourdes. The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is held annually on 11 February.

4. World War I Memorial - World War I Memorial, located opposite to Gandhi Market, Tiruchirappalli, is war memorial dedicated for the soldiers of Trichinopoly.

5. Main Guard Gate - Remains of an entrance to the ancient Tiruchirappalli Fort complex with many surrounding vendors. Main Guard Gate open for 24 hrs and all days of the week and there's no Entry fees.

PONDICHERRY

1. Promenade Beach - Promenade Beach is the popular stretch of beachfront in the city of Puducherry, along the Bay of Bengal. It is a 1.2-kilometre-long stretch in Pondicherry, starts from War Memorial and end at Dupleix Park on the Goubert Avenue.

2. Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, situated on the south boulevard of Pondicherry in Puducherry, is an oriental specimen of Gothic architecture. It contains rare stained glass panels depicting events from the life of Christ and saints of the Catholic Church.

3. Immaculate Conception Cathedral - It's the cathedral mother church for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Pondicherry and Cuddalore. It is located in the Union territory of Puducherry. 

4. Botanical Garden - Botanical garden built by French colonists on 22 acres with themed plots. The gardens also offers Toy train rides, six fountains one of which is a musical and dancing fountain 

5. French War Memorial - The French War Memorial in Puducherry, is a war memorial dedicated to residents of French India who died for the country during the First World War. It is on Goubert Avenue in Puducherry, located opposite to the Gandhi statue.
